Lauri has been gathering from the garden all summer long to create a whole lotta gorgeous dried flora bundles. These are perfect for wall decor or can be used as fire starters. They are also a very sweet gift for flora lovers

Each bundle’s stem is wrapped with a beautiful recycled silk sari ribbon (The word “sari” means “strip of cloth” in Sanskrit. The sari dresses and wraps are worn by Indian women, and a few men.)

I purchase the ribbon directly from India which is curated by displaced & underprivileged women and families in Indian villages It is purchased “Fair Trade“. By shopping fair trade, you can avoid fueling companies around the world that profit off of slave labor AND provide fair wages and dignified, sustainable employment for individuals in developing countries.

Fabulous Framable Art and gift cards from Papaya Art :: Priced well below regular retail price

And SO many other fabulous goodies and Jewelry :: Priced well below regular retail price

Hand Carved USA Made Dough Bowls ::

As a colonial staple in the 1800s, it was a tradition for the future groom to hand carve a wooden bowl for his new bride as a wedding present.

It was then passed down from mother to daughter.

They were used to knead the dough and let it rise and were much bigger to accommodate multiple loaves. A family dough bowl was a highly treasured and critical part of the family food preparation as well as being a well-used daily kitchen necessity.

This bowl is hand-carved in the USA and each is unique, rustic, and gorgeously imperfect. This is a petite version of the original style. Perfect for holding smaller display items. Adding soy wax & wicks for candles is a current trend.

Kantha Blankets :: ONLY 1 LEFT!

Kantha pronounced k-AH-ntha (meaning: “patched cloth”. In Sanskrit it means rags) refers to both the tradition of producing these unique, hand-stitched quilted blankets making something useful and beautiful out of discarded (recycled items), as well as the craft and stitch itself; a small, straight running stitch.

Old cloth is believed to protect one from harm and often several generations would work on the same heirloom quilt together. This evolved from the thriftiness of rural women in the Bengali region making due with what they had and is now done today in the eastern Indian states of West Bengal and Orissa, and Bangladesh. These support many displaced & underprivileged women and families in Indian villages as they are purchased “Fair Trade“. By shopping fair trade, you can avoid fueling companies around the world that profit off of slave labor AND provide fair wages and dignified, sustainable employment for individuals in developing countries.

These are SO precious, beautiful, and very affordable! Each is unique and one of a kind and has a gorgeous bohemian flair.

They are a twin-size spread and can also be used for couch covers, throws, table covers, curtains, beach/picnic blankets, and even cut down to make pillows, purses, and even clothing. I keep one in my car at all times to protect my carpet and seats from garden supplies, groceries, pets, random stops on road trips, and outdoor concerts. They fold up small enough to take on a plane too. You can also sew them together to make a larger spread. They wash up so easily!

These also make wonderful gifts for those who love an eclectic and bohemian vibe in their home.

Your purchase allows me to continue supporting these communities.
